Tomorrow night is the last night of Ski Club. We will be leaving at our regular time.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th, is a pink day to stand up against bullying. All staff and students are asked to wear pink to stand up against bullying.
Ms Hayden’s Advisory group will be going outside today. Please come to class with your jackets.

Good luck to the Varsity Basketball teams as they travel to provincials this weekend. Make Harry Miller proud.
Any Grade 6, 7, or 8 student that participated in the District Badminton tournament are asked to meet in the gym today at 12:40 for a group photo.
The first round of the 2ball competition is complete. Check the list on the sports board to see if you have made it to the 2nd round. We will continue the 2nd round on Tuesday and Thursday of next week.
A reminder to Grade 8 students going on the Quebec Trip that 2nd payment is due today. You may bring your payment to Ms Reid in the office.

Just a reminder for the JV boys’ soccer team as you will get your team photo taken today at lunch. Please come to the gym as soon as you eat lunch so you can get your uniform on.
There are a few participants that did get to play 2ball yesterday. If you are not planning on playing, see Mrs. Throop before the end of the day.
Those students who were a part of the gr 6, 7, and 8 badminton teams will be getting a team photo taken Friday at lunch.

Congratulations to the boys basketball team for getting the silver medal at their annual tournament. It is not a gold medal, but it is an upgrade from previous years. Well done boys!
Just a reminder to the JV boys’ basketball team as they have a fun practice today at 4:45 against their parents. You will also get your team photo done at the beginning of practice.
The 2ball competition will be continuing today during the 2nd half of lunch. We are still in the first round, so those people who have not participated as of yet will do so today.

A job well done to the Lady Bears Basketball for coming 2nd place in their tournament. The girls played extremely well both days bringing them to the finals on Sunday. Girls you should be proud of yourselves for well representing Harry Miller Middle. Good luck at Provincials this weekend in Sussex.
The Varsity boys play today after school at 4:30 against QMS to determine the gold medal from their tournament last weekend. If there are 2 individuals that would like to score keep, see Mrs. Throop at break.

Congratulations to Sam Cookson on his fine performance at the Canwest Regional Spelling Bee at UNBSJ on Saturday. Sam placed 5th overall out of 26 after successfully completing 10 rounds.

The 2ball competition will start up again next week and there is NO open gym today.

There is no open gym today. During the 2nd half of lunch in the gym there will be training for any students signed up to do the score clock this weekend at the tournament. If you need some help or a refresher on how to work the clock, come to the gym at 12:50.

Hats off to the 3 teams who played last night in Semi-Final Action. Although this is the end of the road for your season, you should all be proud of yourselves as you played a hard fought season. Good luck to the Varsity teams as they take part in provincials next weekend.

Junior Band is cancelled today.
Today will be the last day to register for the school chess tournament. The tournament will take place Tuesday, February 21 in the library. You can register during lunch time in Mr. Melanson’s classroom. Everyone is welcome, as long as you know how to play.
The Beyond the Hurt group will be selling Heart-O-Grams for $1 at recess and noon hour in support of AIDS research. Heart-O-Grams contain: 1 pack of dentyne ice gum, 1 red ribbon. Send a Heart-O-Gram to help find a cure for AIDS.
Good Luck to the JV boys basketball team as they travel to MCS today in Semi-final action. Teachers, would you kindly allow the JV boys only to be excused at 2:45.
